Ok People. So if you know Gypsy you know I don't go to clubs or anything like that. Buuutttt, I did make it out to Brooklyn to SOUTHPAW to see the Homies, The Gecko Brothers, M-Tri & Niles Davis Perform. It was a nice, rugged little spot but it had a certain cozy feel too it. I did walk about a block or two to get a slice of pizza and I must say I enjoyed it. Back at the party guess who Hosted... ready, "Dana Dane" Yessir it was a night to remember and you can tell by the flicks & footage.

Gypsy Flesh Talks about her Music, her non-profit organization and Joe Budden's
Exclusive Interview with FatBoyRadioNYC: I had the opportunity to talk to Gypsy Flesh a Talented Emcee from the South Bronx. Check It Out ...
So for all the people that don't know you. Who is Gypsy Flesh?
Well, Gypsy is Inspiring, A Motivator. Someone who's music will lift up a Generation via Words, Images, & Performances.
So how long have you been doing music?
I've been performing since I had pigtails and was wearing 2 different color socks. Very Young. Rhyming since I was 9, Recording since I was 13.
Who did you grow up listening to?
Oh my gosh, I grew up listening to Michael Jackson,Al Green, Aretha Franklin, Rakim, Slick Rick, and MC Lyte... ALL The Greats have inspired me. I LOVE Honest performers who give you who They are!
Who influenced you the most?
The Most! I would have to say Michael Jackson, MC Lyte,Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, and Al Green.
That is an all star line up. When Michael Jackson Died how did that surprise you? Even me I thought he was immortal.
I still think he's immortal. Nobody can tell me different. His music has spanned so many generations and I Thank Him for always giving us his best. It surprised me because I wanted his death to not be by the hands of someone else. Nobody deserves to be able to say they took Mike out.. Nobody!
So talk more about your personal style. I know you get a lot of Aaliyah comparisons.
I do & I must say I'm honored. She's another one who I admire. My personal style
definitely represents more of a Tomboy Swag but I so can throw on a pair of pumps and get my model walk on too.
I see you were in Hype Magazine.
Yes! I've been in there several times. Every time they call I say yes. They are good people and I always meet a great make-up artist or another model who's on the come-up doing their thing. I've been in several different magazines now and I have fun every time.
So what don't you do? You are rapper from the South Bronx, Host Events, Model and run a non- profit organization. Anything else?
Well, I'm a Proud Parent to my 7yr old nephew. I've done some acting in a HBO Pilot. I'm being considered for a Movie Role in Video Director's "Benny Boom" next Movie as the Lead Character. I also work with children whenever possible.
How did you get into the Non-Profits?
I started my non-profit based on my experience growing up. Children need someone who can directly influence their lives when they are not getting the proper treatment at home. My non-profit aims to build families up.. Especially the children.. They need us most!
They are the future. What is the name of your non-profit and what are the day
to day operations?
"Gypsy's Breakfast Clubhouse" is the name. I currently have a children's calendar and I'm partnering with Sneaker Store "Atmos" in Harlem. We're putting together a sneaker drive that's aimed at Collecting Sneakers and donating them to a homeless shelter in Harlem. If anyone is interested in being apart of it, hit me up!
How do you balance everything?
How do I balance everything? That's the hardest thing to do because my Passion lies in entertaining as well as helping other people. I try to make sure that I get assistance where its needed and keep my priorities in order as not to lose one or the other.
If you had to choose between everything what would you pick?
WOW! that is a tough one. I wouldn't choose. Because I can do both.
So what do you want people to get out of your music?
Well, when people first hear me I want them to say, She's Dope, Her Lyrics, Concepts, and Music is all on point. I want them to LOVE my music. Then I want them to get an idea of who I am as a Person. Then I want them to be Inspired, be Entertained and feel like they Can Relate to that Fly Chick "Gypsy".
I see that you talk about things like procrastination and other values.
So its easy to relate to..
Yes! Yes! Of course. The idea is that I'm like the Girl next door. You may have never been in my house but know there is some shit going on that you can relate to. That my experience, my struggles can be just like yours.I am You, and You are Me!
Who do you work with?:
I work with AQIL who has produced and written for Michael Jackson and Teddy Riley. I work with Scoop, and as far as rappers I am very selective as I enjoy emcees more than I do rappers. I also work with J3 who has done some stuff with Alicia Keys. Some Really dope and Uber Talented people...Cardier The Don is a crazy emcee.
So what are you working on now?
My E.P. "The Evolution" is going to be such an inspiring CD/ Collection of Music... It consists of Musical Songs, Lyrics that are out of this world and just plain ole feel good Music. I mentioned the Sneaker Drive with "Atmos"
Yes you did. What was the whole process recording it?
The Process was crazy. being in the studio with other Creative spirits leads to some interesting convos, good times, dancing & laughing. Plus an amazing product.
When is that coming out? March 2010...
So how do you feel about hip hop right now?
Well, I mimic the feelings that Hip-Hop has been forgotten. It's like the bastard child you know. I miss the elements Hip-Hop once had. It was a Real Authentic feeling you got when you listened to Wu-Tang or Raekwon. But it seems like the struggle has been forgotten. It seems like everybody just wants to shake they ass, pop bottles, and bag bitches.
Word.. So what is in your ipod right now .. New Stuff ..
NEW Stuff... Not much new stuff unfortunately. In terms of hip-hop I have Joe Budden's, Joell Ortiz, Trey Songz, Jay-Z of course. Raekwon. hmmm let me sit on that for now...
Its rare to find Joe Buddens fans.. I'm loving "Escape Route"
That dude is a Beast Lyrically. I can't understand how you can listen to Drake but not Buddens.. His bars are outasight.
Buddens image is horrible.
True that.. But I make no reference to image when we are talking about Music.
I say the same but people don't look past it. He has lyrics for days. Anything you want people to look out for?
Of Course! First off look out for that Girl... "Gypsy" I heard she's the problem
and the answer. Then, regular updates on my blog

Oh and my E.P. "The Evolution". I'm dropping my first official single "Live Ya Life"
