Born into a destructive environment where being REAL mean's being a Hustler or a Gangsta and staying FLY is the way of life. And unlike Slavery days where although we lived in a Messed up situation & didn't have sh*t, we were UNITED as people & we lifted each other up.
Nowadays, It's cool to break each other down & it's preferred to ignore the good you encounter such as education. But look at it this way, from the time of slavery up until now look how far we've come by being educated as a people. Being positive & speaking well is not Taboo. Getting yourself and your family out of the hood is not Taboo. It's something we should all aspire to. You should Never forget nor disrespect your History but don't be afraid to move up just like George & Weezy did. . .
